A regenerative agriculture project in the Peruvian Amazon needed to meet Verra CCB Standards and attract international investment. Verdensure trained a local social team, facilitated farmer engagement, and prepared Verra-aligned documentation. The result was stronger community ownership, integrated local input, and improved readiness for CCB validation.

A Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) unit required a flexible HSSE approach for a global carbon portfolio. Verdensure designed its first NBS HSSE strategy, built and led a 12-person international HSSE team, and created digital tools for real-time safety monitoring. Goal Zero was maintained across 50+ sites, embedding HSSE as a core business value.

For a shale gas project in one of Poland’s poorest regions, Verdensure applied the Sustainable Livelihoods Framework to link social impact assessment (SIA) findings with Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programming. The study identified human capital as the key gap and recommended training, local hiring, and long-term community investment. While only partially implemented, it demonstrated how integrating SIA and CSR can create locally relevant, asset-based development strategies in the extractive sector.

A new mine proposal in the Wek’èezhìi Settlement Area (NWT) required rigorous socio-economic assessment and Indigenous consultation. Verdensure led the SIA, supported FPIC through culturally respectful engagement, and represented the human environment in regulatory hearings. The project advanced on schedule, strengthening trust and setting a model for transparent, respectful engagement.

A biofuels tree nursery fire in Paraguay exposed critical safety gaps in fuel handling. Verdensure led a root cause analysis, delivered week-long safety leadership training, implemented corrective actions, and developed a site-wide HSSE risk register. The result: elimination of unsafe practices, embedded safety protocols, and a proactive safety culture.

Verdensure brings extensive agroforestry and resource management expertise across Canada, Peru, and Australia. We audited Mercer Peace River’s boreal operations (formerly DMI), prepared 1,000+ ha annually for reforestation in BC, and led a province-wide study on barriers to sustainable agriculture. Experience also includes wildfire suppression, tropical forest research in Australia, and forestry advisory work in the Peruvian Andes. These efforts have shaped policy, advanced land-use planning, and improved conservation outcomes.
